CenTex FTC Conference - 8/19/2023

On 8/19/2023, our team went to the conference for the CenTex FTC Conference hosted by FTC team #16458 TechnoWizards. At the start of the meeting, we were introduced to a commencement speech by Mr. Mannit Goel, a NASA Environmentalist. One of the most important things he talked about was the idea of people working together to help maintain the environment around us and emphasizing the FIRST core value of "Teamwork". Right after the speech from Mr. Mannit Goel, our team presented our presentation on how FIRST Teaches Students the Creative Process Through Trial and Error. This presentation focuses on problem-solving before, throughout, and after the season. After our presentation, we listened to other teams, for example, Basis Batteries Not Included, TechnoWizards, Atomic Hawks, LightSaders, Tech Syndicate, and a few more. One thing that interested most of our team members was the speech mentioned by Justin Jin on the idea of using Odometry in the software aspect of the robot. At the end of this conference, we talked to many of the teams listed above and exchanged our contacts. Many of us had a great time, and many thanks to TechnoWizards for hosting this event.
