FTC League Tourni! - WE MADE IT TO REGIONALS!!

On 1/17/2024, Our team FTC #21346, made it to regionals while facing many difficulties along the way. The day before the competition, our software team finally was able to reach a successful 30 point autonomous on the red close side of the field.

During the competition day, the judging and setup went superb. However, the moment we decided to test the robot on the practice field, the encoder for a very vital part of the robot, the linear extension, decided to break down resulting in the linear extension not working at all. Including the mysterious misfortune, the string for the linear extension also broke, which made the situation a lot worse for all of us. To combat this issue, we decided to swap out our current motors and restring the linear extension. At the end of the competition and before the award ceremony, we were distraught with our scores as we had one of the most unfortunate events that occurred throughout all of the competition we had so far. At the award ceremony, most of the team members that were still there were very worried and concerned if we could even go onto semi-regionals with the very weak robot performance.

BUT, BY SOME MIRACLE, WE got the #1 THINK award!!, which is one of the most 2nd highest award falling short of Inspire. Anyways, after the event, our entire team was very ecstatic on moving towards to Regionals or Area Competition.
