On October 5th, our team had the privilege of visiting BASIS North-East Campus to connect within our network of schools. The children who attended the event were mainly focused on kindergarten through second grade, and they were not only brilliant but also incredibly cheerful. Working with the kids at this school was a very delightful experience.
During the event, we did numerous robot showcases and demonstrations for all the kids in the audience. However, just before the event began, we encountered an unexpected problem. Our robot wasn't ready due to some last-minute changes our team had made a few days prior. We had removed the wheels and had unnecessary parts that interfered with the robot's ability to run. In the next 10 minutes before the event, we scrambled to put everything back together. This experience taught our team a valuable lesson about the importance of proper preparation before a special event or occasion.

Despite the initial hiccup, the rest of the event went smoothly without any obstacles. We showed our robot, gave a quick presentation, and organized activities throughout the event. We brought two different robots and allowed the kids to play with them. To ensure the children's safety, we decreased the speed of the robot to its lowest in case the robot went out of control.
As the event ended, it was shown that the children had a fun time. Our team also thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we hope to have more opportunities to work with these people again in the future. We are very thankful for BASIS North-East Campus for giving us this amazing opportunity to connect with the people around us, especially the younger generation. We want to thank the people who volunteered their time to help out and organize the kids so they could have fun there. Our team hopes these kids genuinely had fun and would want to peruse the art of science, technology, engineering, and math skills in the future, and we wish them great skills in their upcoming future.
